The following proposal and specifications are to ensure which materials, labor, and
services are included to complete the project.
Location of Project
County of Montcalm Public Safety Complex: 659 N. State Street, Stanton, MI 48888
Detailed Specifications to Include
Liability insurance of $1,000,000 minimum required
All equipment is to meet DOC specifications
Plumbing for all toilets and sinks to include cells 1-8 and the gymnasium as follows:
o Replace toilets with MDOC approved toilets for jail cells complying with ACA
standards. Generally require durable, vandal-resistant fixtures, stainless steel, to ensure
sanitation and security. Similar to: Acorn R2115-W-2 Siphon Jet floor Mounted
Toilet w/Back Spud, Stainless Steel Finish
o Replace sinks with MDOC approved sinks for jail cells primarily featuring heavy-gauge,
stainless steel, ligature resistant, and ADA compliant fixtures designed for high security
environments. Leading manufacturer Acorn Engineering provides common models,
including the Secur-Care (LR1677, LR1652, LR1653) and front access options 1650FA-
LOB, 1652FA)
Plumbing for shower heads in cells 1, 2, 7, 8 and gymnasium as follows:
o Replace shower heads with MDOC approved shower heads for jails emphasize tamper-
resistant, anti-ligature, and high durability designs, often featuring stainless steel
construction and low-flow, vandal resistant nozzles. Key brands include KryptoMax (G2
Automated Technologies), High Sierra, Acorn, and Willoughby
o Replace old valves with new valves as required
Work to be performed Monday through Friday, 8:00am-6:00pm
All contractor employees assigned to this project must provide ID in order to have background
checks done prior to the start of the job

12:45pm on Thursday, March 12, 2026
Public Opening of bids at 12:50pm on March 12th.

Payment for the project will be made upon completion of the project, unless specified otherwise
in contract.
Any additional work requiring additional cost must be submitted to the Director of Buildings &
Grounds and approved in writing (or by signature) before work is performed; additional
approved work will become part of the original contract and paid accordingly.
