Pawtucket, RI
The attention of bidders submitting proposals for the above-referenced project is
called to the following Addendum to the Request for Proposals indicated above. The
items set forth herein, whether of omission, addition, substitution or other change,
are all to be included in, and form a part of the proposed Contract Documents for
the work.
Inclusion of this Addendum must be acknowledged in the spaces provided in the
document entitled “Request for Proposals Bid #26-011; Public Stairway
Construction Phase”. Failure to acknowledge any and all addenda in the above
specified bid form may be cause for rejection of the bids by the Owner on the
grounds that it is not responsive.
This Addendum consists of one (1) page and one (1) attachment, (4 pages), for a
total of 5 pages.
1. UPDATES TO REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
Section 2.0 – Instructions and Notifications to Bidders
Section 2 Page 2 of 2, bullet 5
Within the paragraph, DELETE the following text:
In addition, all Addenda will be mailed to each person holding Contract
Documents, but it shall be the Bidder's responsibility to make inquiry as to the
Addenda issued.
REPLACE with the following text:
Addenda will be issued on the City’s Website. It is the bidder’s responsibility to
check the site for up-to-date addenda and question responses.

Scope of Work (by Contractor)
1. Mobilization, Installation of erosion controls
2. Clearing and Grubbing Operations
3. Site preparation activities: saw-cutting of pavements, removal and legal disposal of asphalt and concrete
pavement, salvage & stockpile items designated on the plans
4. Line drilling, saw cutting, pneumatic hammering and other methods of rock ledge removal
5. Installation and maintenance of site protection fencing
6. Soil management activities: excavation, loading, hauling legal disposal of excavated soils.
7. Construction of new cast-in-place concrete structures including piers and walls.
8. Construction of steel stairs and landings
9. Construction of handrails and all railing systems
10. Furnishing & Installing granite curb and concrete sidewalks
11. Sidewalk restoration and bituminous asphalt roadway.
12. Installation of new handholes, conduit, wiring and various types of site lighting.
13. Installation of landscape plantings.
14. Restoration of any damaged or impacted surfaces.
15. Demobilization

Permits
Work should be performed in accordance with the following permits:
CRMC Assent Category A Assent
Electrical permit required
Additional Bidding Details
Award will be made based on the evaluation criteria in the RFP.
Bid price will be evaluated based on the base bid plus all alternates and allowances.
City will select alternates as the budget allows.
The project has a DBE goal of 15%.
Prevailing wage
Riverwalk West construction anticipated start in summer 2026
Bridge abutment construction anticipated fall 2026
