Platinum Service Plan Maintenance Agreement for Morgue X-Ray Machine

Project Description: Hillsborough County intends to recommend the award of a noncompetitive procurement to Lodox NA, LLC, for a three (3) year period at a total cost of $55,500.00, to provide maintenance and repair services for the Lodox open bay X-ray machine currently used by the Medical Examiner’s Office (MEO). The Lodox open bay X-ray machine plays a critical role in supporting the MEO’s requirements for efficient and thorough autopsy examinations, helping to expedite medicolegal death investigations. This procurement is being made in accordance with Section 3-208(15) of the County’s Procurement Policy as Lodox NA, LLC, is the original equipment and sole source manufacturer, authorized distributor, and service provider for all Lodox instruments, parts, training, technical support, field support, and software. Lodox Field Technicians are the only certified and factory-trained personnel authorized to service the existing instruments, ensuring compliance with the factory warranty and reliable machine operation. The County reserves the right to extend the time period further, adjust the scope of services in response to changing conditions and updated requirements, and increase the resulting award accordingly.
Contractors who believe that they can provide goods and/or services that are substantially and materially the same as those identified in the attached quote must submit clear and convincing information to support a challenge the intended award. Challenges to this notice must be received no later than the Close Date of the Sole Source (SS) Project and must be directed to the primary contact listed above using the “messages” section in Bonfire for this particular procurement. After this date, an award will be made. The County will review properly submitted challenges (responses) to determine whether bona fide competition exists.
