Summary
As requested by the Development Review Division (hereinafter, the “Division or Department”), the Collier County Board of County Commissioners Procurement Services Division (hereinafter, “County”) has issued this Request for Proposals (hereinafter, “RFP”) with the intent of obtaining proposals from interested and qualified Proposers in accordance with the terms, conditions and specifications stated herein, in the Solicitation and/or attachments. The Proposers, at a minimum, must achieve the requirements of the Specifications, Scope of Services, or Scope of Work stated herein. All references to “Proposer” are also referred to as “Consultant,” “Firm,” “Offeror,” “Contractor,” and “Vendor.”
The historical countywide expenditure is approximately $1,000,000 per fiscal year. This amount is for reference only, and no minimum amount is guaranteed or implied; future expenditures will be based on available County Department budgetary funding.
Background
In order to manage increased workloads during peak business periods without the burden of incurring long-term costs associated with hiring permanent employees, Growth Management Community Development Department has supplemented staff, as needed, by contracting with a professional staffing and service firm.
The intent of this solicitation does not include hiring individuals involved in professional service areas that would conflict with the Consultants' Competitive Negotiation Act (CCNA) per Florida Statute § 287.055. The intent of these services is to augment building inspections and other services not falling within the parameters of CCNA.
