Planning Commission for SRT-422 Connection

Project Description: The Montgomery County, PA Planning Commission is seeking bids for the construction of the Schuylkill River Trail 422 Connection project (the “SRT – 422 Connector”). The SRT – 422 Connector project includes the construction of a 0.91-mile section of 14-foot-wide paved asphalt trail; Erosion and sediment control BMPs and post-construction stormwater control measures (SCM), fencing, and signage are incidental to this project. There are no proposed road crossings or signals, although maintenance and protection of traffic during construction will be required. Access to the site through PennDOT’s right-of-way will be coordinated as described in Highway Occupancy Permit #06115829. This project will also be subject to the additional provisions required under the impending reissued PAG-02 General Permit, effective 12/7/2024.
The project is estimated to take 8-10 months to complete and is anticipated to be open to the public in late 2025.
