Planetarium Dome Roof Replacement (GC)

Project Description: Originally constructed in the 1970s, and fully renovated in 2010, the Planetarium Building #13 is a one-story, 8,000 square foot building located on the main campus of Ocean County College. The building houses the state-of-the-art projection system inside the domed theater, a multipurpose room, large lobby, gift shop, and administrative spaces. It holds day and evening public showings throughout the weekdays as well as weekends. The current roof is past its useful life and is starting to deteriorate. As such, the College seeks to remedy this issue by replacing the entire roof with a new system. This project will be performed outside of the building which will be occupied at the time of construction.
