The DRUM Monogram Wild Steer Project consists of safeguarding thirty two (32) mine features including thirteen (13) prospect adits, three (3) subsidences, one (1) shaft, one (1) shallow excavation and fourteen (14) adits. The project will occur on land managed by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) in Montrose County. Closure methods will include grates, corrugated steel pipes, backfill, polyurethane foam, bulkhead, and cable nets. Some features will include bat compatible grates or otherwise require bat exclusions prior to backfill or bulkhead. The uranium mine closure Safety, Health and Environmental Action Plan requirements will be applied.
