Pirate's Wharf Phase II: Site Work and General Construction

The County is seeking proposals from qualified Vendors for Pirate's Wharf Phase II: Site Work and General Construction , in accordance with the terms and conditions and specifications set forth in this solicitation.

This project includes Phase II site work and general construction at the County Park known as Pirate's Wharf, located on Whitehaven Rd in Quantico, MD. The scope includes: site work and grading, on-site wetland mitigation construction, construction of multiple observation decks throughout the property, construction of trails and pathways, parking lot, and roadway construction. Coordination with the County will be required to complete this work in an existing and active County park.

Phase I of Pirate's Wharf opened in 2023 which included a restroom building, pavilion, playground, parking, and various trail systems. The second phase of the project will include public water access features which are important to the County, particularly on the Wicomico River. Additionally, the second phase will also include other site amenities such as additional parking, trails, and general site work. Combined, this will be one of the most highly-utilized and visible park projects in Wicomico County.
