PIPER UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT 203 MIDDLE SCHOOL GYMNASIUM ROOF RESTORATION
Piper Unified School District 203 is soliciting bids for capital improvement work.
Project Site: Piper Middle School Gymnasium Roof
All interested bidders must attend a Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL
Piper Unified School District 203, utilizing the Joint Partnership Agreement, Omnia Partners Government Purchasing Alliance #14-5903, to acquire High Performance Roofing materials, is requesting bids for roofing and waterproofing work.

SCOPE OF WORK | DOCUMENTATION | QUALIFICATIONS | SURETY

Primary Focus of Work:   Roof Restoration

Construction Documents:  Will be provided electronically to participating certified bidders

All Certified and Participating Contractors may request an electronic version of the documents prior to the mandatory pre-bid conference. At the time of the conference, the documents will be reviewed, and the project site will be visited to ensure comprehension of the specifications by all bidders. Contractors who do not attend the pre-bid conference will be disqualified from bidding.

Qualifications: Contractors must be Certified by The Garland Company Security Interest: Bid Bond or Certified Check (5%)

Each qualified bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check on a solvent Kansas bank in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the bid, payable to Piper Unified School District 203. Security will be held until the contract is awarded, at which time the security will be promptly returned. No bidder shall withdraw their bid for a period of thirty days after the set date for the opening of bids.

Should a bidder fail or neglect to furnish the satisfactory surety bond, refuse to make a contract on the basis of their bid, or fail to meet the requirements of this notice and the specifications related to an award, their bid bond or certified check shall be forfeited as liquidated damages.

Piper Unified School District 203 reservestherighttorejectanyandallbids,waiveinformalities,andenter intosuchacontractasshallbedeemedinthebestinterestofThePiperUSD203SchoolDistrict.

REQUEST FOR QUOTATION

In accordance with the specifications, the undersigned agrees to provide the items described on the Bid Form at a location designated by Piper School District #203 (District).  The District reserves the right to reject all bids and/or make more than one award on the basis of this bid.  Award(s) will be made to the lowest responsible bidder of the lump sum price.  Bids must be firm for a period of 90 (NINETY) days following the bid opening.

1.  The Board of Education reserves the right to select or reject any and/or all bids containing alternate proposals; to waive any informality in proposals; and to reject or accept any and/or all bids as shall in its judgment be to the best interest of the District.

2.  Bidders are cautioned to show the total price on the Bid Form and to sign the Bid Form.

3.  Prices shall not include sales tax, excise taxes, or any other taxes for which the District is not liable.  The District will execute any necessary exemption certificates.

4.  If applicable, the Contractor shall secure and pay for all necessary permits and fees required for construction/installation.

5.  If bid is in excess of $100,000.00 a surety bond shall be required.

Description:
Piper USD 203 is requesting pricing on Trash Liners.
Sizes are as follows:
1. 12-16 GAL 24X33 .47 MIL CLR
2. 60 GAL 38X58 2 MIL BLK
3. 23 GAL 30X44 16 MICRONS THICK (SLIM JIM CONTAINERS)
