NOTICE TO RECEIVE BIDS
Sealed bids will be received up until the hour of 10:00 A.M. on December 15, 2025, in the office of the
Chancery Clerk, P.O. Box 39, Raleigh, Mississippi 39153; phone number 601-782-9811; Fax number 601-
782-4690, for the sale of commodities to Smith County, Mississippi for the calendar year beginning
January 1, 2026 and ending December 31, 2026, or until another bid is accepted. These commodities are
for the use and benefit of the 5 Road Districts and other general county usage. The following described
metal, concrete, and plastic pipe to be furnished as provided by Title 31-7-2 (4) Mississippi Code of 1972
as amended:
Corrugated Metal Culvert Pipe, 2 2/3 x 1/2 corrugation; Coated and Plain & 3 x 1 or 5 x 1
Corrugation; coated and plain. Quote prices on Arched Pipe also. Prices on 12” thru 84” pipe
must be quoted F.O.B. each District Barn or in single lots and prices for 12” and above must be
quoted F.O.B. delivered to job sites in single lots.
Concrete Culvert Pipe, 12” and up meeting Mississippi State Highway Department specifications.
Plastic Pipe should meet AASHTO M 294 or ASTM Standard Specifications for Corrugated
Polyethylene Pipe, 10” to 60” diameter and smooth interior. Pipe must be available in 30’
sections.
Prices must be specified in per foot cost in each category being bid.
Delivery time and charges should be stated in bid.
The Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
Bids accepted will be enforced.
