PIONEER PARK PIER 5 & FISHING DOCK REPLACEMENT

The City of Deerfield Beach is soliciting sealed responses from qualified vendors for the PIONEER PARK PIER 5 & FISHING DOCK REPLACEMENT. The ITBC is presenting the scope as the BASE BID and ADD ALTERNATE BID.

BASE BID: Remove and replace Pier No. 5 and the Fishing Pier at Pioneer Park in accordance with the terms, conditions, scope of work, drawings and technical specifications of the above-mentioned Invitation to Bid Construction.

Questions and Answers: The City provides a specified time for Vendors to ask questions and seek clarification regarding the requirements of the solicitation. All questions or clarification inquiries must be submitted through eProcurment Marketplace by the date and time referenced in the solicitation document (including any addenda). The City will respond to all questions via eProcurement.

Licensing Requirements: The Vendor must possess Florida State General Contractor’s license or current certificate of competency issued by Broward County Examining Board having jurisdiction over licensing of Contractors in the type of work involved in this contract. Refer to Qualification of Bidders for additional information.

Bid Guaranty: Each submittal shall be accompanied by a bid guaranty, or other acceptable alternative, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid amount (Refer to Bid Guaranty, Performance and Payment Guaranties, and Qualifications of Surety Requirements).

Bid Allowance Amounts: This solicitation includes a pass-thru allowance. It is not necessary to add your allowance amounts into your bid prices. eProcurement will automatically add the allowance amounts indicated to your bid total and will be reflected on the final bid tabulation. Contingency Allowance ($30,000.00) . The construction documents are in 90% review at the permit agencies. This allowance if for the potential difference in design after the final review and permitted plans sign-off is completed.

The City of Deerfield Beach is exempt from Federal and State Taxes for tangible personal property tax.

The City of Deerfield Beach reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids, in whole or in part, with or without cause, to waive any irregularities and/or technicalities, and to award the contract on such coverage and terms it deems will best serve the interests of the City.

Bids will be accepted through a secure mailbox at eProcurement (https://deerfield-beach.ionwave.net/HomePage.aspx) until the Deadline for Submission as indicated in this ITBC. Late Bids will not be accepted. The City will only accept electronic bids for this ITBC.
