General Notice

Portland Water District (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project:

Pierce Street Phase II

Bids for the construction of the Project will be received at the Portland Water District Nixon Room located at 225 Douglass Street, Portland, Maine 04102, until Thursday, March 19, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. for receipt of Bids local time. At that time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.

The Project includes the following Work:

Installation of approximately 1,560 linear feet of new 12-inch ductile iron water main, related appurtenances, and temporary water main in Pierce Street, Westbrook, ME. Installation of approximately 20-ft of 12-inch HDPE water main, related appurtenances in Pierce Street, Westbrook, ME. Installation of approximately 820-ft of 8-inch ductile iron water main, related appurtenances, and temporary water main in Nasson Avenue, Westbrook, ME.

Obtaining the Bidding Documents

Pre-bid Conference

A non-mandatory pre-bid conference for the Project will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Portland Water District Nixon Room located at 225 Douglass Street, Portland, Maine 04102. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is encouraged but not required.
