Pickleball Sound Engineer - RFQ
The Town of Kittery is undertaking a critical initiative to ensure a harmonious balance between community recreation and residential tranquility. With the establishment of pickleball courts at Emery Field in June 2023 and the growing popularity of the sport, it has become essential to assess the noise impact and to devise effective strategies to mitigate any noise nuisances affecting nearby residential areas. Engaging qualified professionals to evaluate the existing sound levels and develop effective strategies to mitigate any potential disturbances is key to achieving this balance. In addition to addressing the current concerns, this initiative will also include recommendations for land use ordinances guiding and governing the installation of future courts on private property.
Qualifications should be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the Consultant’s name and “Pickleball Sound Engineer” on the outside. Electronic submission of (i.e., via email) will not be accepted. Qualification submissions shall consist of 1 hard copy and 1 PDF on a USB drive including all components specified in the Qualification Requirements, such as resumes, examples, rate sheets, and supporting documents.
