PURPOSE

FHI 360 is requesting quotations from suppliers to provide Installation and Commissioning of HVAC System and Class III Biological Safety Cabinet for National Reference Lab for Special Pathogens (NRL-SPL) BSL2+ Including Recertification.

2. Restored operational capacity - Recertifying the Special Pathogens Laboratory (NRL-SPL) allows it to resume its role as the frontline facility for detecting emerging and re-emerging pathogens, including Pathogen X.

3. Enhanced outbreak response - Decentralized and resilient laboratory systems shorten turnaround times for confirmatory testing, enabling faster epidemiological investigations and public health interventions.

4. Global health alignment - Supports the Philippines' commitments under EpiC-GHS and WHO frameworks, contributing to international surveillance and preparedness against pandemics.
