NOTICE TO BIDDERS
CITY OF LEAGUE CITY, TEXAS
Sealed bids will be received until 2:00 pm, February 27, 2025, and then publicly opened and read aloud for the following project:
Phase 2 Reconstruction of Turner Street & Butler Road Project

Base Bid: The removal and replacement of approximately 6,790 SY of existing asphalt paved roadway with approximately 12,280 SY of 7” jointed reinforced concrete pavement on 8” lime treated subgrade complete with storm sewer pipes, boxes and inlets, 6” curbs, sidewalks, signing and pavement marking, approximately 1,640 LF of 24” water line and fire hydrants, and utility relocations, all complete and in place.
Add-On Alternate: The removal and replacement of approximately 6,550 SY of existing asphalt paved roadway with approximately 9,411 SY of jointed reinforced concrete pavement on 8” lime treated subgrade complete with storm sewer pipes, boxes and inlets, 6” curbs, sidewalks, approximately 2,226 LF of 8” and 6” water lines, fire hydrants, approximately 2,250 LF of 6” gravity sewer, manholes, and utility relocations, all complete and in place.
For Contractor Information: The City (Owner) is responsible for the acquisition of three (3) parcels along Butler Road. During the interim, the Contractor shall commence and focus construction efforts on Turner Street. The Contractor shall coordinate and participate in all necessary meetings and tasks to facilitate this transition and ensure compliance with project requirements. Should construction activities along Turner Street be completed ahead of the remaining acquisitions, the Contractor shall coordinate with the Engineer to identify areas located inside existing Butler Road ROW where construction activities can proceed without impacting private property

An optional pre-bid conference will be held February 11, 2025, at 2:00 pm, at the City of League City, Civic Center, 400 W. Walker St., League City, Texas 77573. Prospective Bidders are invited to attend. Failure to attend will not bar Bidders.
Sealed bids must be submitted with, one marked original, one marked copy, properly labeled and clearly marked with the Bid number and description, directed to City of League City, Office of the Purchasing Manager, 300 W. Walker St., League City, Texas77573. Bids received after that time will not be accepted. Bids sent via courier must be sealed in a separate envelope inside of the mailer

Bid Security, in the form of Cashier’s Check, Certified Check, or Bid Bond, payable to the City of League City in the amount of 5% of the total base bid price, must accompany each Bid proposal. See General Instructions to Bidders for Bond submittal information and instructions.
