Phase II Asphalt Trail Repair and Reseal

The Charter Township of Texas, Kalamazoo County Michigan, is requesting bids from qualified contractors for asphalt trail repair and reseal. All work described herein is to be completed no later than November 1, 2025. Bids are due on Wednesday, May 14 and must be made on the Bid Form provided by the Charter Township of Texas (attached).

Texas Township reserves the right to waive any informality in the request for bids, to reject any or all bids; and to award the contract, in its entirety or portions of the scope of work, in a manner which it considers to be in the best interest of the township. The Township reserves the right to use whatever reasonable and sensible evaluation techniques it deems appropriate.

Locations/Project Areas

Services shall be provided at the Texas Township Trailway, in three project areas as described below. (See maps on pages 4 and 5 for more details.)

1. On the south side of Texas Drive, extending east from the easternmost driveway to Texas Drive Park to the crosswalk at Belgian Avenue - 918 feet (0.17 mile), then crossing to the north side of Texas Drive, extending east from the crosswalk at Belgian Avenue, through the Al Sabo Land Preserve, to the crosswalk at the ITC Corridor Easement - 10,058 feet (1.9 miles), including the trail connection to the crosswalk near Bentley Drive - 312 feet (0.06 mile). Total length: 11,288 feet (2.14 mile), width: 10’.
2. Along the ITC Corridor Easement from Texas Drive to 12th Street - 1,725 feet (0.33 mile).
3. Along 12th Street, from the traffic circle at Texas Drive to the ITC Corridor Easement - 1,853 feet (0.35 mile)
