The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), New England District is hosting an Industry Day on April 29th at 9:00am for all interested contractors in the VA West Haven Chilled Water Plant Construction and Utilities Improvement project. Fifteen minute one-on-one interviews will take place between 1:00 and 5:00 PM ET.
This is a Department of Veteran Affairs major construction project targeted for award in Summer 2027. The NAICS code for this procurement is 236220. The estimated construction cost is between $40,000,000 and $115,000,000.
The scope of the chilled water plant replacement consists of the demolition of the existing chilled water plant (Building 16a) and construction of a new multi-story chilled water plant to include chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and all associated mechanical and electrical equipment. The scope of the site utility upgrades consists of the replacement and upgrade of the existing fire protection water main and the domestic water main from Campbell Avenue to Building 15. Site utility upgrades also include providing utility main loops of chilled water supply and return, steam supply, condensate return, domestic water supply, and fire protection water supply which will originate from the new chilled water plant and back-feed to Building 1.
The Industry Day will take place at the VAMC West Haven, 950 Campbell Ave., West Haven, CT. Attendees will meet in the Donaldson Rooms in Building 2. Only two attendees per firm. Only the first fifteen requests will be granted. Please RSVP to the industry day by emailing tyler.s.maryak@usace.army.mil by 1:00 PM ET on 22 April 2026. In your email, indicate if you would like to participate in one-on-one interviews. Please park in parking lot P10, P11, or P12 (see attached site plan). Do not park in the new parking garage.
