159862 Pesticide/Herbicide Application Services

To provide the necessary personnel, supervision, equipment, traffic control and materials to perform herbicide spot spraying of broadleaf weeds, vines, grasses, and woody brush growing in the shoulder areas, in medians, interchanges and gore areas, along slopes, around guardrails and signs, and other right-of-way areas as directed. This work will also include occasional vegetation cutting, such as cutting a vine before treating the stump or cutting a small area of grass/weeds to get to the target vegetation. This cutting work should be less than five percent of the total hours worked. VDOT will define specific treatment limits for each work area. Work will be performed in accordance with the attached specifications on primary and secondary routes in Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun, and Prince William counties.
