Personal Property Tax Audit

The Town of Bloomfield (“Town”) is soliciting proposals from certified public accounting firms or auditing firms to provide personal property audit services on the Town's business personal property taxpayers as authorized by the Connecticut General Statutes. The audit period will begin upon execution of the contract. This audit is anticipated to span a three-year term, with interim reporting and completion dates to be established by mutual agreement between the Selected Firm and the Town Assessor. The purpose of this audit program is to verify the accuracy of reported information contained within the Personal Property Declarations for a select number of accounts.
