Bid Description:
The Town of East Montpelier seeks qualified engineering and design services to develop a comprehensive plan for a sidewalk extension along Vermont Route 14. This project aims to establish a safe, accessible Pedestrian and Bicycle Sidewalk Plan connecting the Upper and Lower Village centers. As noted in town planning initiatives, the current lack of infrastructure forces residents to traverse the shoulder of a high-traffic state highway, creating significant safety hazards for pedestrians and cyclists attempting to access the post office, general store, and local rail trail connections.
