Description
Description
DESCRIPTION/SCOPE: PEASI account renewal for the existing emergency public alert system. Includes premium functions required for digital security and public information sharing through City channels
DIRECT AWARD: The public alert system is used for critical and urgent emergency communication with the public. Importantly, it is a legislated requirement that municipalities have ways of communicating emergency information with the public. The PEASI Alertable system, procured in 2021, was vetted for this purpose and has been optimized for the City’s emergency communication needs since then. A corporate policy for our public alerting program was created and governs the use of the system. The PEASI Alertable system is opt-in and public promotions for the system have been ongoing since 2021 to increase public usage. The system is used by VEMA, VFRS, VPD, and on behalf of other departments as needed for serious and critical emergency incidents.
TERM: 1-year with the possibility of x5 1 year extensions.
The contract is valued at approximately $15,250.00 + Tax per year
