2026 Paving Project

Project Description: Sealed proposals will be received electronically via the PennBid program by Bethel Township for the 2026 Paving Project until 10:00 a.m. prevailing time on Monday, July 6, 2026. The bid results will be posted on PennBid shortly thereafter.

Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check, bank cashier's check, or bid bond (in the required form) for ten percent (10%) of the bid total.
The work generally includes wearing course overlay and incidental paving work on South Faust Road (from Old Route 22 to Hickory Drive). The project work is located entirely in Bethel Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania. Individual descriptions of the work for each bid item are set forth in the bid documents.
Questions shall be submitted via the “Public Q&A” feature within PennBid.
Pursuant to Act 89, bidders are advised that prevailing wage rates and record-keeping procedures established by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry shall apply for bids over $100,000 and that minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract Documents shall be paid on the project.
Bethel Township hereby reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all bidders, to reject any and all bids and to waive any omissions, errors, mistakes, defects, or irregularities in any bid at its sole discretion.
