at the Acton Department of Public Works, 14 Forest Rd., Acton, Massachusetts, 01720, by 2:00 PM Local Time on Wednesday, March 19, 2025.

Bidding procedures are governed by Massachusetts General Laws (G. L.) Chapter (c.) 149, §44A, and G. L. c. 30, §39M, as applicable and referenced in G. L. 149. MassDOT prequalification of contractors with the class of work as Pavement Markings for the project with an estimated value of $193,021.92 will be required. The Contract will take effect on April 1, 2025 and expire on March 31, 2026. Awarding Authority reserves the right to extend the contract for two (2) additional 12-month options. Valuation for purposes of MassDOT Prequalification is based on first year times three (3) to arrive at an estimated total value of all bid items. The estimated value provided in the Invitation for Bid is for one year. Contractors are expected to be able to provide their services for three (3) years at three (3) times the initial estimated value.

No bidder may withdraw his bid within thirty (30) days after the date designated above for the opening of bids. The Contractor must comply with the all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Attention is called to the requirements of minimum wage rates, as set forth in the specification and bidding forms, which will be paid on this project.

The Town of Acton reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive any informalities, as deemed in the Town’s best interest.
