The Town of Weymouth invites qualified vendors to submit sealed bids for the purchase of twenty-six (26) piston-driven Patrol Rifles and rifle accessories, under the direction of the Weymouth Police Chief, per the Scope of Work detailed in the IFB.

The Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be available electronically beginning at 9:00am onMonday December 16, 2024. by emailing procurement@weymouth.ma.us .

In accordance with M.G.L. Chapter 30B, sealed bids will be accepted by mail or in person to Procurement Office, Town Hall Annex, 111 Middle Street, Weymouth until 11:00am on January 3, 2025 and will be publicly opened and read in the conference room located at the Weymouth Town Hall Annex, 111 Middle Street, Weymouth, MA  02189.  If any bid is received after the scheduled deadline of 11:00 a.m. on January 3, 2025, it will be considered non-responsive and therefore disqualified. The sealed bids must comply with all minimum requirements set forth in the IFB in order to be considered responsive.

All pricing must be submitted on the attached Bid Form with all areas completed.  Any section not filled in will be considered as Non-Responsive and the bid will not be considered. Bids must contain the name and proper address of the bidder and must be signed.  Bids, which are not complete, or contain any omissions, erasures, alterations, additions, or contain irregularities of any kind, may be rejected as informal.
The Chief Procurement Officer in consultation with the Chief of Police will make the award of the contract.  The Town of Weymouth reserves the right to reject any and all proposals if it deems such rejection(s) to be in the best interest of the Town, to waive informalities, to permit a Proposer, to clarify discrepancies, to conduct discussions with all qualified Proposers in any manner necessary, and/or to award a contract to serve the best interests of the Town.
