PATH PA-5 RAILCAR MATERIALS FOR CARBODY, TRUCK AND COUPLER SYSTEMS – THREE-YEAR REQUIREMENTS CONTRACT

The Port Authority Trans-Hudson Corporation (PATH) intends to establish a sole source contract with Kawasaki Rail Car, Inc., located in Yonkers, NY, to provide the following:

TITLE: PATH PA-5 RAILCAR MATERIALS FOR CARBODY, TRUCK AND COUPLER SYSTEMS – THREE-YEAR REQUIREMENTS CONTRACT

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: Kawasaki is the sole source for the vast array of materials on the proposed contract, which is comprised of, but not limited to, carbody bushings, door leafs and rollers, floor assemblies, access panels, air intake components, air diffuser parts, seat shells, air spring assembly, journal box sets, and battery box assembly. All materials to be purchased must be compatible with existing parts and systems.

Firms who believe they can compete for this requirement are required to submit an email with a brief statement of their intent to compete. The statement and any other questions regarding this sole source should be directed to the Buyer, john.santiago@panynj.gov by August 22, 2025. The Port Authority does not guarantee that firms responding to this notice will be rendered a request to tender an offer for this procurement. In addition, the Port Authority does not guarantee that any solicitation will occur for this procurement, but reserves the right to solicit proposals.
