Bid Description:
The Island Runner is a 56' aluminum vessel that serves as a passenger ferry in Saint Albans Bay, VT between Kill Kare State Park and Burton Island State Park. The vessel is powered by 2 x 3208 Marine Cat diesel engines. The State of Vermont is interested in obtaining bids to remove existing engines and replace with new engines. Engines must meet the equivalent amount of horsepower of previous engines and be compatible with current Hamilton HJ292 Jet drives.
Special Instructions:
If modifications to the vessel, including but not limited to hull and vessel are required to remove and install engines, it is the contractor’s responsibility to repair in kind. Such modifications are anticipated due to limited clearance in the engine room. Any modification must be approved by the state in writing, prior to commencing work.
