Partial Roof Replacement and repair Police Station

The Town of Yarmouth, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids for the Partial Roof Replacement/Repair for the Yarmouth Police Station, located at 340 Higgins Crowell Road, West Yarmouth, MA 02673.

The work includes, without limiting the generality thereof, the work to be performed to repair the section of roof over the Police Training Room at the Yarmouth Police Department. In general, the work consists of removing damaged sections of the roof and replacing with new and repairing any damage to the interior of the training room that was caused by the leaking roof. The contractor is responsible for providing all materials, labor, and equipment as specified to perform the work. Bids should be submitted in a sealed envelope bearing the words:

“Partial Roof Replacement/Repair Police Station”

Bid specifications may be examined and obtained online at https://www.yarmouth.ma.us/bids.aspx beginning December 22, 2025.

The pre-bid meeting and site visit will take place on January 7, at 10:00 a.m. at the Yarmouth Police Station.  Any request for interpretation of plans and specifications may be submitted in writing at that time. Bidders will have an opportunity to view the site of the work following the Pre-bid meeting.

Sealed General Bids will be received by the Town of Yarmouth at the Town of Yarmouth DPW, 74 Town Brook Road, West Yarmouth, MA 02673, until 2:00 p.m. on January 23, 2026.  Bids will be opened publicly.

Project Estimate: $60,000.00

Each Bid must be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and must be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of five percent of the Bid in the form of a bid bond or certified treasurer’s or cashier’s check issued by a responsible bank or trust company.

The Successful Bidder must furnish a Fifty percent Performance Bond and a Fifty percent Payment Bond with a surety company acceptable to the Owner.

Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development under the provision of the Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27H, as amended, apply to this project.

It is the responsibility of the Bidder, before bid opening, to request, if necessary, any additional information on Prevailing Wage Rates for those tradespeople who may be employed for the proposed work under this contract. Prevailing Wage Rates # 20251203185237, dated 12/04/2025, are applicable to this project.
