Solicitation Summary
The Maryland Department of Health (MDH) is seeking a professional, reliable Lifeguard to provide part-time services (approximately 12-14 hours/week) on-site at the Potomac Center facility's indoor pool in Hagerstown, Maryland . The job duties of this position will include lifeguard services overseeing the use of the pool by the intellectually disabled residents of the Potomac Center, providing CPR/First Aid as required, performing safety checks, cleaning of the pool, pool decks, and bathrooms, and monitoring/adjusting pool chemicals as needed to ensure water quality/safety. The Lifeguard must also be a Certified Pool Operator (CPO).
Schedule is as follows:
a. Every Tuesday from 8:00am to 11:00am, and 1:00pm to 5:00pm,
b. Every Thursday from 1:00pm to 5:00pm,
c. Every other Thursday from 10:00am to 12:00pm, and 1:00pm to 5:00pm.
Twelve (12) hours per week and fourteen (14) hours every other week x contract term of 52 weeks = 676 total working hours.
