REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL
PREPARATION, SUBMISSION, PROCESS AND AWARD
REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
The Jefferson County Parks Department is seeking proposals for the purchase and installation of a 45' x 12'
snowmobile bridge. Proposals shall meet or exceed the specifications below.

Specifications:
* 45' x 12' Wide Snowmobile Bridge (4" Camber?)
* 25,000# Load
* MCA treated Southern Yellow Pine deck boards, pre-stained and attached with all fasterners rated
for MCA treated wood
* Hardware - All frame hardware should be either galvanized or equivalent for rust protection
* 42" Horizontal Railing
* Submitted with 2 sets Stamped Engineered Drawings
* Project includes utilization of 6 yards of fill at each bridge ends for ramps (12 total yards of spoils
and gravel material)
* Include costs for delivery and installation in bid price
* Please provide cost for removal and disposal of old bridge and any spoils as a separate line item
Bridge kit includes all Steel I-Beams and Crossmembers, which are predrilled and have a red oxide primer
finish, MCA Southern Yellow Pine treated lumber and all hardware.
All lumber is Pre-Stained.
Bridge Kit Meets - WI DNR Guidelines - 25,000# Load
Terms
* All sealed bids must be received no later than 1:00 PM on Wednesday June 24th

* Project must be completed October 31, 2026.
* Contractor will be required to schedule the project at least two weeks in advance with the Parks
Department and property owners.
* Once the project starts the contractor has not more than two weeks to finish the installation.
* Jefferson County will pay the agreed upon price in full once the project is completed.
