PARC CHALEUR SUBDIVISION DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS

Listing Information/Advertisement:

The City of Baker (herein referred to as the "Owner") hereby solicits sealed bids for the Pare Chaleur Subdivision Drainage Improvements project described as follows:

STATEMENT OF WORK (PEC ProjectNo.11322): The construction of new drainage pipe, catch basins, manholes, connections and associated appurtenances for Pare Chaleur Subdivision in the City of Baker. Work will be bid as a Base Bid and Additive Alternate No. 1

Sealed Bids shall be addressed to the City of Baker and delivered and received at the City Hall located at3325 Groom Road, Baker, LA 70714 not later than 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, October 30, 2024. Any bid received after the specified time and date will not be considered. The sealed bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at City Hall in Baker located at 3325 GroomRoad, Baker, La 70714.

Completed Bid Documents, Information for Bidders, Bid Form, Contract, Plans, Specifications, and Forms ofBid Bond, Performance Bond and Payment Bond, and other bidding documents for this project are available in electronic form. They may be obtained without charge by emailing a request to [email protected] .

Completed Bid Documents may also be examined at the Office of the Engineer for the contract; ProfessionalEngineering Consultants Corp. located at 7600 Innovation Park Drive, Baton Rouge, La 70820; (225-769-2810). Hard copies may be obtained at this office upon payment of a deposit of$100.00. This deposit will be refunded upon request in accordance with R.S. 38:2212.

Pursuant to the Louisiana Revised Statute, vendors/contractors now have the option to submit their bids and bid bonds, electronically. Official Electronic Bid Documents are available at Central Bidding. CentralBidding can be accessed at www.centralbidding.com. For questions related to the electronic bidding process, please call Central Bidding at 800-990-9339. To view bids, download, and receive bid notices by email, your company/agency will need to register at www.centralbidding.com prior to the deadline.

Contractors submitting bids shall be licensed under LA R.S. 37:2150-2164, Municipal and Public Works Construction. Other license classifications may, at the option of the Owner, be considered based upon a thorough review of the Contractor's past experience. The bidder shall show his license number on the bid and on the sealed envelope submitting the bid.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause; such actions will be in accordance withTitle 3 8 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes.In accordance with R.S. 3 8:2212 (A)(l)(b ), the provisions and requirements stated in the Bidding Documents shall not be waived by any entity.

Each Bidder must deposit with the bid, security in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the total bid price, provided on the specified form and subject to conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. Sureties used for obtaining bonds must appear as acceptable on the U. S. Department of Treasury Circular570.

No bidder may withdraw his/her bid within forty-five ( 45) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
