Palm Trees for 400 Block of Peruvian Avenue

Project Description: The Town of Palm Beach, Florida ("The Town") is hereby requesting qualified contractors to submit competitive bids to furnish and install (+/-) eleven (11) Royal Palm (Roystonea regia) trees with 25’ of CT AND (+/-) five (5) Green Malayan Coconut Palm (Cocos nucifera) trees with 15’ of CT.
All plant material must be "Florida No. 1" grade or equivalent, free from pests, diseases, and mechanical trunk damage.
Contractor must supply all materials and labor, tree bracing and locates.
Trees are to be installed in the 400 block of Peruvian Avenue in the right of way.
Contractor shall warrant the survival of all palms for a period of 1 year from the date of substantial completion.
Warranty does not cover "Acts of God" (hurricanes, freezes) or owner neglect (lack of watering).

SUBMISSION:

A "NON-MANDATORY" Pre-Bid Meeting will be held virtually via the Microsoft Teams meeting platform.

Attendance is strongly encouraged as this will be the only forum to seek clarification directly from the Contract Coordinator and Town staff.
AWARD:
Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder whose bid meets the requirements and criteria set forth in this Request for Bid.
The Town reserves the right to award to that bidder who will best serve the interests of the Town, and to accept or reject any and/or all bids and to award or not award a contract based on this bid proposal.
Prices quoted must be valid for a period of ninety (90) days from the close of the bid.
RESPONSIBLE VENDOR DETERMINATION:
Respondent is hereby notified that Section 287.05701, Florida Statutes, requires that the Town of Palm Beach may not request documentation of or consider a vendor’s social, political, or ideological interest when determining if the vendor is a responsible vendor.
