Construct new water treatment plant that produces up to five (5) MGD of potable water to support MCAS Yuma and construct three (3) water storage tanks with a total capacity of 7.5 million gallons.
Construction of a low-rise steel-frame structure with a mix of Concrete Masonry Unit (CMU) and cast-in-place concrete exterior walls sheathed in split face CMU veneer with insulated metal panel above and sloped standing seam metal roof. The new Water Treatment Plant (WTP) will produce up to 5-million gallons per day (MGD) of potable water and will include a new supply water intake structure connecting to a United States Bureau of Reclamation water source and a production well. Constructs three (3) ground finished water storage tanks and one (1) elevated finished water storage tank with aggregate capacity of 7.5 million gallons.
Construction of three (3) ground raw water storage tanks with aggregate capacity of 7.5 million gallons. Facility-related control systems include cybersecurity features in accordance with current Department of Defense (DoD) criteria. Information Systems include a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition system for the water treatment plant. This project will provide Antiterrorism (AT) features and comply with applicable service and Geographic Combatant Commander policies and directive per Unified Facilities Criteria for DoD Minimum Antiterrorism Standards for Buildings.
