New York City Emergency Management (NYCEM) is seeking an off-the-shelf, secure database to manage its Strengthening Communities program. This database should serve as a central communication hub between Community Preparedness staff and community coalitions/networks in the Strengthening Communities program. Most programmatic functions should be able to be done through this system. The resulting contract awarded under this RFP, is being funded with grant funding received from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (“CDBG-DR”).
The Strengthening Communities program offers funding and training to local community and faith-based coalitions/networks to build community emergency plans, enhance local readiness, and assist with emergency preparedness, response, and recovery efforts when activated by NYC Emergency Management.
