for Owens Family Park Improvements:
New Parking Lot and Street Project

The City of Safford (City), Arizona hereby invites the submission of sealed Bids from properly licensed contractors for the project Owens Family Park Improvements: New Parking Lot and Street located off the intersection of El Paso Boulevard, 20th Street, and 14th Avenue (Lat. 32? 49’01”N, Long. 109? 43’33” W). The Project includes material purchases to complete installation of 3,363 square feet of new sidewalk (replacing 425 square feet of existing sidewalk and curb needing removal), 585 linear feet of 6” vertical curb and gutter, 271 linear feet of single curb, 1,868 square yards of 12” AB, 1,161 square yards of 4” AC pavement, 6,364 square feet of 4” concrete, and ancillary sidewalk and street features. The Project is expected to take between 3-4 months, but no more than 120 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The anticipated date of Council approval of the Contract is April 14, 2025, and the City wishes for the awarded Contractor to begin work that same week. A non-mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 10:00 AM local time, Thursday, February 27, 2025, at the MYOC Conference Room, 405 W Discovery Park Boulevard, Safford, AZ 85546. . Bidders shall seal and deliver their Bids by 2:00 PM local time, Thursday, March 20, 2025, to the City Clerk’s office at 717 W. Main Street, Safford, AZ 85546, where they will be publicly opened and read aloud. All Bids must include a bid bond for 10% of the Total Bid amount, and all Bids must be plainly marked on the outermost packaging with “Attention: Sealed Bid - #PK2003,” and must indicate the company name and address of the Bidder and Bid closing date and time. Any Bids received after 2:00 PM local time on the above stated date will be returned unopened. The City reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, or to withhold the award for any reason the City determines. The City also reserves its right to hold any or all Bids for sixty (60) days after the Bid opening date and will not allow withdrawal of Bids during those sixty (60) days.
