ORW PROTESTANT CHAPLAIN

ODRC is seeking proposals to identify a vendor to provide the below reglious services contract position:

Contract Chaplain (Protestant)
Hours: 20 hours a week. Hours may be flexible, but Monday coverage is essential.
Planned schedule:
Monday 8:00 pm to 4:00 pm (eight hours)
Tuesday, Thursday or Friday as needed
Job Overview
The Chaplain plays a vital role in providing spiritual support and guidance to individuals in an institutional setting. This position requires a compassionate individual who can offer emotional and spiritual care to incarcerated persons, families, and staff. The Chaplain will be responsible for fostering a supportive environment that promotes healing and well-being through counseling and mentorship.

MINIMUM CLASS QUALIFICATIONS FOR EMPLOYMENT
Current ecclesiastical endorsement by denomination &/or ordination; completion of training in clinical pastoral education provided by denominational &/or inter-denominational training organizations; 5 years of providing faith based programming in a correctional setting; 5 years experience assisting incarcerated persons with reentry to community; 3 years experience with a trauma informed care program.
