OPPELO BOTTOMS PUMP STATION
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed bids for OPPELO BOTTOMS PUMP STATION, to be constructed for CONWAY COUNTY LEVEE DISTRICT NO. 6 will be received at the CONWAY COUNTY COURTHOUSE and addressed to Conway County Levee District No. 6, ATTN: Brandon Zinser, 117 S Moose Street, Morrilton, AR 72110, until 10:00 AM on Tuesday, February 11 2025, at which time the bids shall be publicly opened and read aloud.
The Project consists of the installation of a pump system adjacent to the Oppelo Bottoms Levee in Conway County, AR near Morrilton. The pump system consists of a steel intake pipe, a standpipe, a pump installed in the standpipe, pump motor, outlet piping, buried underground piping, all electrical components associated with the pump, ancillary site work and appurtenances for the pumping systems. The pump system consists of one pump site with one 20,000 gallon per minute pump and approximately 130 linear feet of 36” discharge piping.
Bids will be received for a single prime contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form.

Documents can be examined at Garver, 831 Pkwy Ste C, Conway AR 72034 Addendums to the bid package will be issued through the Garver online Plan Holders List; therefore, all prime bidders shall be responsible for downloading the bid documents from the Garver online plan room in order to be included in the Plan Holders List. Bidders must enter the addenda numbers in Article 3.01 of the Bid Form to verify receipt.
Special Economic Development Administration Requirements apply to this contract. Bidders shall review and consider these requirements in preparation of a bid.
Davis Bacon Act wage rules shall apply. All laborers and mechanics employed by contractors and subcontractors on projects funded directly by or assisted in whole or in part by and through the Federal Government shall be paid wages at rates not less than those prevailing on projects of a character similar in the locality as determined by the Secretary of Labor in accordance with subchapter IV of Chapter 31 of Title 40, United States Code. The Department of Labor provides all pertinent information related to compliance with labor standards, including prevailing wage rates and instructions for reporting. Bids shall be accompanied by a cashier’s or certified check upon a national or state bank in an amount of five percent (5%) of the total maximum bid price payable without recourse to the Owner, or a bid bond in the same amount from a reliable surety company, as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract and execute performance and payment bonds within fifteen (15) days after notice of award of Contract to him. Such bid guarantee shall be made payable to CONWAY COUNTY LEVEE DISTRICT NO. 6.
The successful bidder must furnish performance and payment bonds upon the form provided in the amount of one hundred per cent (100%) of the contract price from an approved surety company holding a permit from the State of Arkansas to act as surety, or other surety or sureties acceptable to the Owner.
Bids must remain in effect for 60 days after the bid opening date. Within 60 days from the bid date, the Owner may award the contract to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder or reject any or all bids for the project.
The CONWAY COUNTY LEVEE DISTRICT NO. 6 reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities in the bids and bidding deemed to be in the best interests of the CONWAY COUNTY LEVEE DISTRICT NO. 6, and to reject nonconforming, nonresponsive, or conditional bids.
