Operating Room Scrub Sinks

SCIENCES UNIVERSITY will receive sealed bids for IFB 25-164 project
number 1044 titled Operating Room Scrub Sinks until 12:00 p.m. local
time on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at 811 New York Ave, Room 2-03.
Brooklyn, NY 11203, where such proposals will be publicly opened and
read aloud.

Brief Project Background
To prevent disqualification from consideration, Bidders are advised to pay
close attention to the details, dates, time, and other requirements set forth
in the Project Manual.
The Existing Operating Room Scrubs Sinks within the Operating Room
Suite, located on the Second Floor of the University Hospital of Brooklyn
(UHB) has experienced repeated malfunction. This construction project
calls for hands’ free sinks, removal of existing plumbing, and electrical
work to power the hands-free sensor.

Important Dates & Timeline:
• Mandatory Virtual Walk-through Date: Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at
11:30am.
• RFI’s (Request for Information; technical questions and administrative
questions): Tuesday, August 27, 2025 at 12pm.
• RFI Responses – responses to questions will be emailed by Wednesday,
September 3 2025.

Bid Submission Date: Wednesday, September 10th, 2025.
Bids must be submitted in duplicate in accordance with the instructions
contained in the Information for Bidders. Security will be required for each
bid in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the Total Bid.

It is the policy of the State of New York and the State University of New
York to encourage minority business enterprise participation in this project
by contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, and all bidders are expected
to cooperate in implementing this policy. Contract Goals have been
determined for this Project as follows MBE goal: 18.90%; WBE Goal:
11.10% for a total MWBE Goal: 30%. The designated M/WBE contact for
