NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Sealed proposals for the project described below will be

received at the office of

the City Clerk of the City of Effingham, 201 East Jefferson Avenue, Effingham,

IL 62401 until 10:00 AM on 01/13/26, at which time they will be opened and publicly read.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

Location-Approximately 65' East of Oceola Street along

Evergreen Avenue Project Length-93.0' (0.02 mi)

Proposed Improvement-Replacement of an existing double

12'-0" x 7'-4" box culvert with a proposed cast-in-place triple

12'-0" x 9'-0" box culvert. Improvements also include Pavement

Patching, Aggregate Base Course, Manhole, Storm Sewer, and all

necessary incidental work as shown on the plans.

1. Plans and proposal forms will be available in the office of

Farnsworth Group, Inc. - 400 West Jefferson Avenue, Suite A,

Effingham, IL 62401

2. The Awarding Authority reserves the right to waive

technicalities and to reject any or all proposals as provided in

BLRS Special Provision for Bidding Requirements and Conditions

for Contract Proposals.

3. Submission of a bid shall be conclusive assurance and

warranty the bidder has examined the plans and understands all

requirements for the performance of work. The bidder will be

responsible for all errors in the proposal resulting from failure

or neglect to conduct an in depth examination. The Awarding

Authority will, in no case, be responsible for any costs, expenses,

losses or changes in anticipated profits resulting from such

failure or neglect of the bidder.

4. The bidder shall take no advantage of any error or omission

in the proposal and advertised contract.

5. Permission will be given to a bidder to withdraw a proposal if

the bidder makes the request in writing or in person before the

time for opening proposals.
