SECTION 00 11 16 – ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID

Bids will be accepted under seal to the Owner for the construction of a new bus garage for the Ontonagon Area

School District (OASD), per the construction documents issued on this date. Scope of work includes site work,

foundation, wood framing, steel siding and roofing, interior finishes, HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and electrical

work.

Owner will receive Bids at the office of the Architect (address listed above), until 3:00 PM local time on the 10th

day of June 2026, at which time and place the Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids not received by the

indicated time will not be opened.

Bidding Documents for a Stipulated Price contract may be obtained by contacting UPEA, whose contact information

is listed above, as PDF documents via email at no cost. Paper documents may be obtained for a non-refundable fee

of $100 per set.

Documents will also be available for viewing online at the OASD website

(https://www.oasd.k12.mi.us/district/request-for-bids-proposals/), at the office of the Architect, and at the following

Builders Exchanges: Iron Mountain-Kingsford, Marquette, Northwest Michigan, Builders Exchange of Wisconsin,

and McGraw Hill Construction-Dodge, Wausau.

Prospective bidding contractors may visit the site located at 862 Greenland Road in Ontonagon at their convenience.

Bidders will be required to provide a Bid Bond according to the requirements in Section 00 21 13 - Instructions to

Bidders. Submit your Bid on the Bid Form provided. Refer to other Bidding requirements described in Section 00 21

13.

Bids are required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 30 days after submission.

Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities and to accept or reject any or all Bids.
