Ontario County Beach Park Improvements Project - EPF 219542

The County of Ontario (the "County"), is soliciting sealed responses for Solicitation # B25080 Ontario County Beach Park Improvements Project - EPF 219542 . Sealed paper bids can be filed with the Ontario County Purchasing Director, 20 Ontario Street, Canandaigua, New York 14424, PRIOR TO 3:00 pm prevailing time, on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at which time said bids will be publicly opened and read via Webex meeting. Electronic submittals will not be accepted for this project.

The purpose of this project is to improve the recreational, environmental, and aesthetic value of Ontario County Beach Park, located on the eastern shore of Canandaigua Lake. The project seeks to improve public access, safety, sustainability, and overall visitor experience while preserving the natural beauty and ecological integrity of the lakefront area. It aligns closely with the County's Parks and Recreation Master Plan and Canandaigua Lakeshore Parks Master Plan.

Key components of the project include:

• Infrastrucutre upgrades: Renovation of existing facilities, including restrooms and parking areas, to meet current accessibility and safety standards.
• Walkway improvements: Development of ADA-compliant sidewalks to better connect park amenities.
• Green infrastructure: Integration of environmentally-sustainable elements, such as a rain garden, to reduce runoff into Canandaigua Lake.
• Recreational additions: Installation of updated signage and a picnic pavilion.

This project is guided by Ontario County’s commitment to environmental stewardship, public health, and equitable access to outdoor spaces. By modernizing the park’s amenities and infrastructure, the County aims to create a welcoming and inclusive destination for residents and visitors of all ages and abilities.
