Request for Proposal: Onoville Marina Park Interpretive Kiosk & Educational Curriculum System

Overview

Onoville Marina Park is located on the 12,000-acre Kinzua (Allegheny) Reservoir, just north of the Pennsylvania state line, in the Town of South Valley. The land is owned by the US Army Corps of Engineers and is leased to the County’s Department of Economic Development, Planning and Tourism (EDPT) to facilitate the Park and its operations. Onoville Marina Park is the largest inland marina in New York State, with 400 Dock Slips and 70 Campsites. The Park is a popular retreat for many families throughout Western New York and Pennsylvania. Recreation is one of Cattaraugus County’s strongest economic generators, and Onoville Marina Park is one of the County’s hidden assets.

Cattaraugus County Department of Economic Development, Planning and Tourism, received funding through the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) in 2022 to complete an Interpretive Kiosk and Educational Curriculum System project at the Onoville Marina Park. This project will help to create a complete and inclusive self-guided educational kiosk system at the Onoville Marina that will educate park users about the cultural, historical and natural assets of the park and the Kinzua (Allegheny) Reservoir. Educational Curriculums will be developed and rotated on five kiosks across the park.

EDPT is seeking proposals from qualified companies to design and construct three kiosks, as well as eight interpretive signs that will be installed at Onoville Marina Park.
