Notice of Bid

The Leavenworth County Department of Public Works is accepting bids for one (1) "Large Format
Crawler Dozer."

You are invited to submit sealed bid proposal to the address below. The envelope must be clearly
marked "(1) Large Format Crawler Dozer".

All bids must be received in said office not later than Thursday, May 14', 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at
which time they will be opened and read aloud.

A copy of the bid notice will be posted on the Leavenworth County website:
www.leavenworthcounty.gov, or you may come to the main office, Leavenworth County
Courthouse, Public Works, 300 Walnut, Suite 007, Leavenworth, KS 66048 and obtain a copy.

At the option of the Board of County Commissioners and or County Administrator, service will be
awarded on the basis of the best qualified bid, including full consideration of unit prices, time and
method of delivery, conformity of specifications and service.

ALL BIDDERS AGREE THAT REJECTION SHALL CREATE NO LIABILITY ON THE PART OF THE COUNTY
BECAUSE OF SUCH REJECTION. IT IS UNDERSTOOD BY ALL BIDDERS THAT AN UNSUCCESSFUL
BIDDER HAS NO CAUSE OF ACTION AGAINST THE COUNTY FOR BID PREPARATION COSTS. THE
FILING OF ANY BID IN RESPONSE TO THIS INVITATION SHALL CONSTITUTE AN AGREEMENT OF
THE BIDDER TO THESE CONDITIONS.

We are a tax-exempt entity, prices shall be net including all exempt taxes. The County shall reserve
the right to increase or decrease the quantities specified.

5 YEAR MUNICIPAL Walk Away Lease
One (1), Large Format Crawler Dozer

These specifications shall cover one (1) Crawler Dozer. The Dozer shall be equipped with all factory installed,
but not limited to, the items listed. Dozer must be new and current production. Indicate make and model

being bid.

Cold Weather Package to include, 120v. Engine Block Heater,
Fuel heater, Heavy Duty Battery, Hydraulic Oil bypass
cooler, Ether starting aid or glow plugs.

Reverseable self cleaning hydraulic demand fan for radiator

Locking engine compartment doors shall be provided.

Must have spin-on lube,fuel and coolant filters

Machine shall have fluid sample ports

Transmission:

Hydrostat drive, automatically adjusts to speed and
load conditions

Shall have braking that stops machine when control lever is
moved to neutral or decelerator is depressed to detent

Track length on ground shall be a minimum of 130 inches

Ground contact shall be a minimum of 8500 sq. inch

Shall include moderate duty track shoes

Blade:

Blade shall be half U style

Blade width shall be a minimum of 13 ft.

Blade height shall be a minimum of 4 ft.
