The County of Mercer requests bids for ON-CALL TRAFFIC SIGNAL AND ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE SERVICES to provide labor, equipment and materials, on an as-needed basis for the Mercer County’s Highway Department. It is the intent of this contract to provide on-call services for a period not to exceed two (2) years, with only one (1) year guaranteed. The contract duration shall be one (1) year from the date the contract is fully executed with an option for the second year. The contract will require a considerable amount of travel between job sites and from the Contractor's base of operations to the job site. Travel time should therefore be strongly considered in the determination of unit price. The County will provide no compensation if the Contractor is called out to the site and conditions are not suitable to perform work. The Contractor shall be responsible for maintenance and protection of traffic (MPT). No separate item for MPT will be provided and costs thereof considered within the pay items provided below.
