Written proposals addressed to the City Purchasing Department, City Hall, 59 Court Street, Westfield, Massachusetts and endorsed “General Public Works Construction Services Price Agreement - Bid No.26-002-” will be received by the Purchasing Department in the Purchasing Office Room until September 24, 2025, at 3:00 PM and at that time publicly opened and read aloud. If for any reason City Hall is closed for an unforeseen reason, bids will be opened on the next normal business day at the same time as indicated above.

Qualifications:

Attention is called to the minimum wage rates to be paid on the work as determined by the Commissioner of Labor and Industries under the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Sections 26 to 27G, inclusive. All bids for this project are subject to the provisions of General Laws, (3rd Ed.) Chapter 30, Section 39M, inclusive as amended. Federal wage rates are also included. Bidders must pay the higher of the two wage rates.

Special Requirements:

A proposal guarantee of 5% of the Bid shall be required. Minimum wage rates have been set. Performance and Payment Bond: 100% of the Contract Amount.
