On-Call Moving, Hauling, Shelving and Storage

A. The purpose of this solicitation is to procure multiple vendors for the City of Baltimore
(City) in accordance with specifications and documents contained herein for On-Call Moving,
Hauling, Shelving and Storage Services The requirements for these services are further described
in the Detailed Specifications section of this solicitation.
B. Services will occur on an as-needed basis and may include recurring requests on a
designated basis (monthly, quarterly, etc.). Services rendered will include but not be limited:
i. moving, hauling and transportation of furniture, boxed records, surplus property
ii. building and setting up furniture
iii. taking down furniture
iv. temporary to long-term storage
v. shelving boxed government records
vi. removal and disposal of materials, such as broken pallets and surplus property.
vii. the safe, efficient, and well‑coordinated transfer of government records to and in
an active records storage environment
viii. office relocations
ix. discreet transport and set up of City property
x. disposal of surplus property
xi. emergency requests for moving and storage
xii. special handling of items such as lab equipment, glassware and sensitive
documents.
C. All work must be performed in coordination with requesting agency staff and without
damage to records, furniture, shelving, or facility infrastructure. If damage occurs the
Contractor will be liable
