On-call Historic Preservation ServiceCity of Bothell

The City of Bothell ("City") is requesting professional on-call historic preservation service qualifications from a qualified firms or individuals to perform historic preservation review for the Community Development Department. The City requests written responses to a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for selection of on-call or as-needed preservation services associated with the following:

  1. Review of demolition permits and subsequent mitigation for demolition requests
  2. Review of certificates of appropriateness
  3. Preparation for and staffing of the Landmark Preservation Board
  4. Potential completion of the Telling Bothell's Full Story Project
  5. Potential update of the Historic Resources Inventory
  6. Potential support on 2024 Comprehensive Plan Update

The City assumes on average a total of 5-10 hours a week on average for permit review and staffing the Landmark Preservation Board.

This contract may result in additional scopes of work including the Telling Bothell's Full Story project; Historic Resources Inventory; and Comprehensive Plan Support. Completion of this work will be based on funding and staff support time.

RFQ Requirements:

  1. Cover Letter: Maximum of two pages serving as an executive summary which shall include an understanding of the scope of services.
  2. Company Profile: General company information including number of employees, location of company, general services provided, number of years in business and general qualifications of the firm in relation to this RFQ.
  3. Staffing: Provide a list and brief resume of the employees which the consultant anticipates assigning to this project. The list will include summary of qualifications, licenses, and relevant professional experience. The list must also include work anticipated to be completed by each individual.
  4. Cost Proposal: Please include the hourly rate for services. This should include hourly billable costs of each team member.
  5. Example Projects & Services with References: Please include 3-5 examples of relevant work with references. Provide information on who from the firm performed the work and the general scope. Include references for each relevant project including name, address, contact person, phone number, email, date of services and description of services provided.
