On-Call Geotechnical Engineering Services

The City of Seattle is seeking qualifications for On-Call Geotechnical Engineering Services . Qualifications are due no later than 1:00 pm on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 . All questions are to be submitted through the e-procurement portal at https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/seattle no later than 5:00 pm on Friday, April 25, 2025 .

Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) Geotechnical Engineering is a group of geotechnical engineers and scientists who perform geotechnical engineering and environmental science services for City of Seattle Departments which include SPU, Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT), Seattle City Light (SCL), and Seattle Parks & Recreation. Ongoing consultant assistance is required to meet project schedule requirements due to peak workload occurring from staff reductions, to fill in technical expertise gaps on projects, or to perform peer reviews of engineering services. Through this contract, SPU’s Geotechnical Engineering group will be able to meet project goals and provide excellent service to internal City clients.

SPU intends to execute one on-call contract with an estimated initial value of $1,000,000. SPU does not guarantee a specific volume of work under the contract.
