Project Description: The Municipality of Norristown (the “Municipality”) is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors and qualified individual service providers to furnish on-call, as-needed electrical services for municipal facilities, infrastructure, systems, and related municipal needs.
The Municipality seeks to establish one or more contracts with qualified proposers capable of furnishing all labor, supervision, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, permits, and incidentals necessary to perform electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, emergency response, minor installation work, and related services as directed by the Municipality.
This Request for Proposals (“RFP”) is intended to permit submissions from either:
• firms, companies, partnerships, corporations, or other business entities regularly engaged in electrical contracting or electrical service work; or
• individuals who are qualified to perform the services described herein and who satisfy all applicable licensing, insurance, registration, and contractual requirements.
The Municipality reserves the right to award a contract to one proposer or to make multiple awards if it determines that doing so is in the best interest of the Municipality. The Municipality may, at its discretion, utilize additional awarded contractors as backup providers in order to ensure adequate coverage, responsiveness, continuity of service, or operational flexibility.
All proposals must be submitted electronically through PennBid no later than April 24, 2026. Only electronic submissions through PennBid will be accepted. Paper submissions will not be accepted. Late submissions will not be accepted.
Questions regarding this RFP must be submitted through PennBid by the deadline stated herein. Responses and, if any, addendums will be issued through PennBid. Oral interpretations or clarifications shall not be binding.
