Request for Qualifications: On-Call Apiary Services
The Town of Quartzsite is seeking qualified individuals or firms to provide on-call apiary services to
support the safe and environmentally responsible management of honeybee colonies and related
pollinator activity within the Town.
Purpose
This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is intended to establish a pool of qualified professionals who
can assist the Town with bee swarm response, colony relocation, removal, and consultation services on
an as-needed basis.
Scope of Services
Services may include:
* Identification and assessment of bee colonies and swarms
* Safe removal and relocation of honeybees when feasible
* Hive extraction from structures, trees, and infrastructure
* Emergency response to bee-related public safety concerns
* Consultation on prevention and best practices
* Public education support, if requested
Eligibility
Qualified applicants should demonstrate:
* Experience in beekeeping or apiary services
* Knowledge of safe handling and swarm management
* Compliance with applicable Arizona regulations
* Proper licensing and insurance
