Owensboro Municipal Utilities will receive sealed bids until 2:00 P.M. (CST) on July 1, 2025 (prevailing time) at which time bids will be opened and read aloud for the:

BID No. 25-07-017
ASPHALT PAVING

Owensboro Municipal Utilities (OMU), a municipal electric and water distributor, is requesting bids for the paving of the driveway and area around the new pump station installed on Omico Plastics Property, located at 2025 Ragu Dr, Owensboro, KY 42301. Contractor is responsible for repairing and top coating the driveway from Ragu Dr to the loading dock area for the easement of the property that the pump station is located on. Total paving area is approximately 20,000 square feet.

Job Descriptions:

New Pump Station on Ragu Dr – Entrance and parking lot for Omico Plastics
• Existing asphalt area to be select milled, allowing concrete joints at entrance for smooth transitions and to prevent water from backing up
• Large Pothole area to be excavated, stabilized with fabric and repaved with base asphalt
• Cut back grass edges and clean surface
• Apply heavy layer of tack oil to bond old and new asphalt
• 2” Binder Asphalt of paving area
• Contractor will need to coordinate with Omico Representative for good time to conduct project. Omico Contact: Will Mounts 812-622-0174

Pumphouse Area
• Area brought up to correct grade to allow for proper depth of Asphalt. Front and East side will be 6” of asphalt. West and Rear will be 2.5” of Asphalt and compact using vibrating roller to ensure complete compaction
• Install DGA over #3 rock to ensure correct compaction and smooth surface to pave over and compact
• Pave Front and West side using 4” of base asphalt laid so that base asphalt will be flush with existing Omico drive. Therefore when 2” surface is applied on top of base it will tie in seamlessly to the new asphalt on Omico drive.
• Contractor will hand pave around new generator and utility jars as needed
